JOB TITLE: Tester
LOCATION: Client based in East Sussex but role will mainly be working from home
PAY RATE: £350 per day (Umbrella)
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 3 months rolling contract
IR35 STATUS: Inside



Tester will be responsible for:



  • To read all the documents and understand what needs to be tested

  • Accountable for providing accurate testing statistics to the team lead

  • Based on the information procured in the above step decide how it is to be tested

  • Inform team lead about the effort required to complete the testing

  • Develop test cases and prioritise testing activities

  • Execute all the test cases and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect.

  • Accountable for the production of Test Scope and Strategy

  • Accountable for the accurate estimation and creation of test scripts and resource requirements

  • Contribute to requirements acceptance criteria during iterative analysis phases

  • Accountable for establishing the priority tests to be performed as part of user acceptance testing, regression testing and performance testing for projects

  • Contribute to the test environment planning and management

  • Accountable for reviewing and validating 3rd party technology supplier system test scripts

  • Accountable for sourcing and loading required test data for projects

  • Accountable for the execution of testing to the agreed plan, ensuring all requirements have been met and the delivery is fit for purpose
