Trading Standards Officer

Seeking experienced Trading Standards Officer with Trading Standards qualification to work from home and local to the area of East Sussex.

Full time for 6 months

Pay rate - £35 per hour (small room for movement)

Working from home / office / combination? A combination plus visiting various locations around East Sussex.

• Need to hold a Trading Standards qualification.


• Will work as part of a team of 21 Officers, with varying degrees of experience.


• Whilst the office is based at Lewes, should be able to work flexibly around the county as the work requires.


• Will be undertaking proactive projects looking at consumer protection issues, as well as responding to enquiries.


• Will be supporting officers who are training, so needs to be able to demonstrate excellent behaviours and have good communications skills.


• Should be able to make accurate records of activities, for monitoring purposes and potential evidence.

Should be familiar with collating reports, particularly those which could potentially lead to a criminal court case.
