An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Coordinator to join a public sector organisation based in East London.


This role will be responsible for the development, coordination and quality assurance of multi-agency learning and development activities, including training, relating to the safeguarding and promoting welfare across the LSCB partnership; ensuring the best use of resources in relation to learning and development.


The successful candidate will have knowledge of the requirements and expectations of the Pan London Local Safeguarding Board procedures and have experience working with leaders and managers on learning and development solutions, training design and programme development.


Key duties will include:



  • To develop specialist learning solutions for the multi-agency workforce, in relation to improving frontline practice skills and embed knowledge in relation to safeguarding

  • Commission and procure in line with procurement policies learning providers who meet the quality criteria

  • To work collaboratively with key agencies and partners across the Council and voluntary sector, as well as national organisations to pursue the aims of LSCB national safeguarding agenda

  • To attend and actively participate in the LSCB training committee in relation to planning and reporting on training activities

  • Supported the training committee chair with safeguarding priorities that derive from Serious Care Reviews or Ofsted recommendations

  • Attend Pan London LSCB training working groups to learn and share best practice strategies, keep abreast of Pan London Safeguarding Procedures, regional and national agendas and any joint working initiatives to maximise the cost effectiveness of training programmes

  • Procure, monitor and quality assure learning providers commissioned to deliver development aims, in line with contract procurement policies

  • Write training reports for the LSCB Board and training sub-committee showing attendance stats across partner agencies and quality reviews of training impact
