£12.73 per hour

Based in Rugby

This role is hybrid working 3 days in the office and 2 from home (does include rotational weekend work which will also be based at home)

The hours are rotational on a shift rota

Shift 1 - 7AM - 3:15PM

Shift 2 - 8:45AM - 17:00PM

The purpose of the role is to produce transport plans for multiple sites, as well as the national backhaul plan which delivers approx. £40m revenue.

The role holder is also responsible for the production of various financial reports and invoices. The role holder will also carry out daily problem resolution and root cause analysis of any operational issues.

Duties include -

Responsible for building and resourcing the transport schedule for multiple sites (e.g. the bond and primary consolidation centres), accounting for cost, maximising trailer fill and ensuring warehouse capability to safeguard stock availability and provide a high quality service to our depots.

Ensure transport solutions are sourced from depots and hauliers to cover all loads at a cost of approx. £12 million per annum.

Ensure all backhaul requests are planned and executed correctly to generate an annual revenue of approx. £40 million.

Negotiating rates (within pre-defined parameters) and arranging transport for ad-hoc requests whilst ensuring the delivery of an effective solution.

Responsible for raising invoices to suppliers to ensure accurate and timely payment. Producing financial reports for the network by collating daily and weekly information and validating this with the depots and third parties.

Collate, monitor and input data relating to, but not restricted to, inter-location transfers, KPI reporting, project activity and load failure reports.

Monitor haulier KPIs and challenge inadequate performance to ensure high service levels to our depots.

Liaise with third parties and depots to resolve day-to-day operational issues.

Influence and manage expectations of depots, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure a high service level at the best possible cost.
