JOB TITLE: UI Designer with lean UX knowledge (Contract)


DEPARTMENT: Marketing


REPORTING TO: Head of Product Management & Innovation


LOCATION: London


TYPE: 3 month fixed term contract


NORMAL HOURS: 9am - 5pm (and as required to fulfil job requirements)



Summary of role:



Fantastic opportunity for an experienced UI Designer with lean UX knowledge to play a key role in my client's product team to develop refining and iterating the optimised user journey for some projects and bringing best in class designs across for all projects, getting to the heart of what the Users, Merchants and Clients need. The role will be involved in a range of responsive-led developments for digital platforms as well as some mobile applications to support innovation projects across employee discounts, incentive and customer acquisition schemes.



Key responsibilities:



  • Plan and implement new designs. Optimise existing user interface designs and test for intuitivity and experience

  • Ensuring UX and Design quality is high via modern approaches like iterative and Lean UX, using data and analytics and customer centric prototyping where applicable

  • Interact with product managers and other stakeholders (as required) to understand their business goals and objectives



Skills and experience required:




  • UI design portfolio for responsive design software platform delivery essential

  • Competent in web disciplines, technologies and best practice in Responsive Design, Usability and Journey Strategy

  • Ability to work within brand and design guidelines, whilst also considering unique interpretation

  • Ability to discuss and explain design options. Capable of communicating vision and intent with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Detail oriented. Critical thinker who's a problem solver and customer-centred

  • An energetic, passionate, collaborative individual who demonstrates initiative, flexibility and adaptability and passion for customer at all times.

  • An ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team with a can-do, here to help attitude

  • Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction

  • High level capability of Windows XD, InVison Studio, Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Adobe XD
