UK & Ireland Sales Manager


This is a multi-tasking position requiring a self-motivated Sales Representative; primary goals include; maintaining existing customer base needs & promote growth via the generation of new leads and opportunities for the UK & Ireland Market. Preparation of proposals for customers using of our internal proposal processes for my clients Products and Services. This proposal development efforts are in collaboration with the Regional Manager to assure the development of distinctive value propositions that enhance the business goals and client needs.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

  • Maintain existing client relationships.

  • Travel to meet existing clients on a regular basis. Full UK Driving Licence is required.

  • Undergo Confined Space training and ECITB (if not already trained);

  • Generate leads and new opportunities within the area.

  • Generate technical and commercial proposals as necessary for end users, contractors and EPC companies. Following specific cost estimating procedures for the different products.

  • Organize personal work load to meet deadlines.

  • Participate in team meetings and discuss assignment statuses.

  • Review proposals with the Regional Managers and adjust proposal material in response to review.

  • Responsible for updating CRM system (Sales Force) with new customer and opportunity information.

  • Follow up on proposal to close purchase order award.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Visits to the Sidcup, Greater London office for meetings and training.

  • Located in commuting distance to the office in Manchester.

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of and previous experience preparing and coordination preparation of qualification submittals and proposal development in terms of deliverables, schedules, and the coordination of information resources to meet schedules.

  • Understand the importance of establishing new clients and developing existing client relationships.

  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of clients, employees, and management.

  • Ability to confidently present in (MS Power Point) Products and Solutions.

  • Position requires the ability to thoughtfully and positively influence clients.

  • Candidates must possess strong organizational skills and a strategic perspective.

  • Extensive knowledge of the request for Information and Request for Proposal process, preferably in the construction industry.

  • Must be proficient in the use of basic computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365).

  • Must have capabilities to write, read and converse in English.

  • Capable of reading and understanding specifications and basic construction drawings.

  • Be highly motivated and have the desire to work hard and do whatever necessary to succeed.

Prior Experience:

The applicant for the position of UK & Irelands Sales Manager should have a minimum of 10 years of technical sales experience, preferably in the above ground storage tank industry or a similar market.

Education/Qualifications Requirement:

  • A Minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent, at Grade A* to C including English, Mathematics and a science related subject.

  • 2 'A' Levels or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
