Vetting Researcher

An interesting opportunity has arisen to join D&C and Dorset Police in their busy vetting team based at HQ Exeter on a 6 month temporary contract.


  • Undertaking analysis & evaluation of Force databases to enable vetting decisions to be made

  • Where required, conduct low level financial interviews with new applicants

  • Make vetting decision recommendations to the Force Vetting Officer

  • Provide advice to applicants in respect of vetting procedures

  • Carry out vetting related project work


  • Be able to demonstrate sound information gathering and research skills

  • Have strong MS Office skills

  • Have a systematic, meticulous approach to your workload

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
