Victim Care Officer

We are currently looking for a Victim Care Officer to work for Devon & Cornwall Police in the Exeter area on a full time basis. You will be the primary point of contact for victims of crime, working closely with other departments and liaising with various partner agencies to ensure the right support, guidance and information is provided for victims.


  • Review need's assessments, and engage with victims of crime to confirm any identified needs

  • Complete referrals to appropriate agencies

  • Maintain accurate record, ensuring timely updates


  • To communicate sensitively and effectively both verbally and in writing to a wide range of people, including the vulnerable and distressed

  • Ability to plan and prioritise a challenging work load well

  • Able to demonstrate empathy, be emotionally resilient with a proven ability to be assertive when necessary
