Adecco Worcester are currently recruiting for a Warehouse and Stores Co-ordinator for their Hartlebury based client.

The position:

Job Summary

Our client is looking to recruit an individual who can manage the materials side of the business to join our fast-paced company. The successful candidate will be responsible for all materials control and general office tasks and will be able to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be solely responsible for all Warehouse activity and Administration , experience of running or managing a warehouse is essential.

Ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage, inspection, modification, packing and dispatch of products to feed business operations and customer demand. To also manage and organise product shipment as required.


  • Maintaining the smooth day to day running of a busy warehouse environment

  • Dealing with all aspects of imported stock / warehouse management

  • Receiving goods in and dispatching within a timely manor

  • Dealing with customer queries and quotes.

  • General office tasks - Order processing via in house systems

  • Take delivery of goods and supplies, Inspect and action any non- conformances

  • Store goods appropriately

  • Pick, modify if required and pack orders for dispatch and arrange suitable transport

  • Load goods for dispatch

  • Stock check, Input and maintain accurate records regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system and maintain paperwork as required

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse to the required standard

  • Ensure that warehouse machinery and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose

  • Carry out health and safety basic common sense risk assessments

  • Maintain high standards of security in the warehouse

  • Arrange for the purchase and manage the supply of suitable packing materials and equipment

  • Control of Hazardous material / waste removal including completion of all paperwork to meet legal responsibilities

  • Carry out and document Quality Control inspections as per internal QA procedures on incoming/ outgoing products (ISO 9001)

  • To assist in basic commercial tasks covering things such as taking incoming phone calls and other tasks that may be assigned

Personal Qualities

  • Hold a full UK driving license

  • Hold a forklift license - Counter balance

  • Be IT literate in Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAGE 200 an advantage

  • Work on own initiative

  • Be flexible & a good team player

  • Able to work and communicate well as part of a small team

  • Work and operate machinery in a safe manner and comply with the Company, Health, Safety and Environmental Policies

  • Ability to work accurately and methodically

  • Good analytical and numeracy skills

  • A reasonable level of computer literacy

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible approach to duties and tasks

  • Ability to plan own time and workload to meet targets and deadlines

  • Understanding of engineering drawings
