Job Title: Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver
Location: Birchington, Kent

Warehouse Operative:
Earlies - £21,819 (£10.49p/h)
Lates - £22,859 (£10.99p/h)
Nights - £22,859 (£10.99p/h)

Forklift Driver:
Earlies - £22,360 (£10.75p/h)
Lates - £23,400 (£11.25p/h)
Nights - £23,400 (£11.25p/h)

Hours: You will work on a permanent shift of earlies, lates or nights (no rotating shifts) and you will work 5 days out of 7, this may include weekends.
Earlies 6am-3pm
Lates 3pm-12am
Nights 9pm-6am

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Work across the different departments within the warehouse

  • Using handheld scanners to prepare orders for distribution.

  • Splitting pallets and baling.

  • Use of the power pallet truck

  • Moving produce around the warehouse safely

  • Loading and unloading lorries.

  • Maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Carry out tasks effectively as part of a close-knit team.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • You must be able to work 5 out of 7 days per week, this may include weekends.

  • If your shift falls on a bank holiday you will be given a day in lieu

  • Ideally you will have a forklift licence but this isn't essential

  • Must have driving licence and own transport due to location of the site

  • Basic numeracy skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good attention to detail

  • Be a team player

  • Must have self-motivation

  • Ability to read and follow instructions

  • Willingness to undertake Power Pallet Truck training (if not already qualified).
