Our client area well established and growing organisation based in Erdington who are now looking to recruit an experience Warehouse Supervisor to join their busy team!

You will be working as a warehouse supervisor managing five members of staff in a very hands on role and will have relevant experience as well as a fork lift licence, either reach or counterbalance.

Duties will include:

  • Promote and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

  • Overseeing the warehouse operation whilst being an active hands-on member of the team.

  • General warehouse maintenance and organisation of units as well as daily allocation of transport loadings - internal drivers and third parties.

  • Arrangement and unloading of weekly containers.

  • Ensuring company returns are dealt with accordingly.

  • Recommended improvements within the warehouse to promote efficiency.

  • Organise & participate in monthly stock counts.

  • Weekly stock reporting (to UK and NZ).

  • Driving all forklifts to load/unload vehicles when required.

  • Keeping registers, licences, services, training and all paperwork & certificates up to date.

  • Any other tasks required to support departmental needs.

  • Overall knowledge of warehouse stock systems and processes

  • Inventory Management - driving and building on current processes and ensuring inventory reporting is accurate and up to date.

  • Report & Investigate shortages.

  • Ensure that system and physical stock levels within the warehouse are in line for all products.

  • Implement corrections of any inaccuracies identified - following investigation.

Experience and skills required

  • You will have experience working as a warehouse supervisor

  • A forklift licence is required in counterbalance or reach, ideally both

  • Team player and happy to get involved and be hands on

  • Knowledge of stock control is advantageous

  • Self motivated

  • Computer literate

  • Good attention to detail

In return you will earn a competitive salary of between £23-26k and work hours of 8.45am-4.45pm Monday to Thursday and finish at 3.45pm on a Friday
