Web Content Editor (Temp)


Summary


Do you have experience of managing a website and/or a blog and fancy working for the number one global insurer? If the answer is yes this could be the perfect role for you...


We are looking for a confident communicator with the necessary technical experience to support a large web content project within the marketing department of a leading insurer. As a Web Content Editor you will be part of a team responsible for rebuilding website content on a new platform. This role is based in our Glasgow office.



What you will be doing



  • Translating existing HTML/CSS product pages to a new library of pre-set components.

  • Migrating existing rich HTML/CSS/JS content to a new content management system.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, including designers, developers and copywriters, to ensure migrated content retains our high standards.

  • Manage reporting of your progress within the shared project plan, working to tight deadlines.

  • Implement SEO related change within the new CMS, including technical fixes, new content development and general auditing.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, including designers, developers and copywriters, to produce and optimize content for the company website.


Who are we looking for?



  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining a website or blog (personal or commercial) using a CMS

  • Good understanding of HTML/CSS with the ability to create and edit both.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, interrogate briefs, gather requirements and honestly communicate progress towards deadlines.

  • Knowledge of SEO fundamentals; technical, on-page and best practice.

  • An eye for detail, consistency, and comfortable working to a set of digital guidelines.

  • Open to critical feedback and keen to work in a collaborative environment.

  • Bootstrap (or similar framework) experience advantageous.

  • Experience in any of the following advantageous, but absolutely not essential: website migration, image editing, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Optimizely, Decibel Insight, Searchmetrics, Siteimprove, Ektron CMS, Episerver CMS.

  • Excellent attention to detail is essential.
