We are looking for a number of candidates to work within a factory to manufacture and fabrication of UPCV windows and timber frames for houses.

You will be using a variety of machinery and using various materials including timber, metal and UPCV.

Ensuring you are always following heath and safety requirements and can promote these practices.

UVPC windows and doors, kitchen units as well as the on site fabrication and fitting of products.

You will be reporting to the senior repairs manager (fabrication)

Working full time covering 37 hours per week and will be required to work some evenings, weekends and occasional public holidays, Monday to Friday.

Your pay will be weekly and you can also work towards a bonus payment depending on attendance, production and performance.

You will be required to undertake all responsibilities listed below:

1. to produce, fabricate and install products in an effective and efficient ways to optimise resources (time, labour materials, plant, equipment, vehicles)

2. Maintain and routinely service machinery checking the compliance with health and safety legislation and safe working practise, with the recording of any servicing carried out.

3. to work at all times in a safe secure manner, comply fully with health and safety requirements and maintain a clean safe working environment.

4. Programme machinery and monitor settings

5. Work as park of a team on a collective bonus scheme requiring the need to cover for the absence of others, maintain the correct levels of production and output and to set deadlines.

6. Ensure the quality of products

7. Minimise wastage's

8. To be able to operate all machinery, plant and equipment; after suitable training

9. To have a flexible approach to all areas and types of work, both old and new.

10. To carry out other duties within the competence of the post holder which may be required reasonably, from time to time.

*Knowledge of fabrication methods and production of timber and UPVC products

*Knowledge of health and safety legislation in a factory and site environment

*Knowledge of machinery routine maintenance and servicing

*Previous experience working within a workshop environment

*You must have factory and machinery working experience listed

*Previous experience of producing timber and UPCV products

*The ability to communication well in written and in verbal

*The ability to work under pressure

*Organisational skills

*Planning and time management skills

*Machine maintenance

*Woodworking and UPCV product manufacturing skills

*The ability to communicate problems, suggest changes and improvements.

Previous use of the STUGA CNC profile cutting plant machine.

- Fenster UPVC Welder

- Urban Quad Welder

- Urban Corner Cleaners

- Caeement/ tilt and turn hanging

- Rehau system experience

You must be able to encourage and support others, apprentices and trainees. You must show a 'can do' attitude and the willingness to take on ever changing and challenging new roles.
