Adecco are recruiting on behalf of North Wales Police for a Witness Care Officer to join their team in St Asaph.



This role is an integral part of the criminal justice system as you are supporting the witnesses and victims of crime during the trial and outcome.



The post is full time, 37 hours per week Mon-Fri. The role will be based mainly from site in St Asaph with some WFH capability. Post is required due to workload, and is up to 12 months. Salary is £21135 p/a and free parking, canteen and sports facilities are available on site.



Key Responsibilities



- Maintaining the witness management system by ensuring all witness data, statements and supporting information is transferred in an accurate and timely fashion to the correct database.


- Ensuring all first contact is made within the court required SLA.


- Managing an admin caseload and reacting to shifting priorities and deadlines.


- Ensuring all risk assessments and other supportive arrangements are in place to court attendees.


- Liaising with the Crown Prosecution Service to arrange court attendance days.


- Speaking with witnesses and victims to provide support and guidance, and advising of additional services available to them.

- Ability to learn complex processes and exercise own judgement when needed


- Ability to provide professional and empathetic support.


- Resilience in the face of unsuccessful trial results.


- A drive to support victims of crime through their journey.
