Workplace Needs Assessor

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Workplace Needs Assessor to join the HR team at Devon & Cornwall and Dorset Police for a period of 3 months. This position is full time and based out of Police HQ in Exeter. You will be working with individuals throughout Devon & Cornwall and Dorset Police to gather information about difficulties in the workplace, gain an understanding about their role and working environment in order to identify and make suitable recommendations for appropriate reasonable adjustments.

You will compile an accurate and detailed report, in liaison with HR Corporate Support, working holistically with other professionals to implement the likes of assistive technologies, training and coaching to support them in the workplace. You will also be ensuring individuals with specific learning needs are supported appropriately.


  • L4 Workplace Assessor qualified or equivalent with recent practical experience of delivering workplace needs assessments

  • Demonstrable ability of working with people from diverse backgrounds and understand their specific learning needs

  • Knowledge of strategies to support an employee in the workplace, in particular to neurodiverse conditions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
